Traditional Camps
Ages 7 to 17
The full Kitaki experience. Archery, swimming, canoeing, campfires, cabin life, and the kind of friendships that start on day one. Programs are designed to grow with your camper. Each year brings new activities, new challenges, and a little more independence.
Horse Camps
Ages 10 to 17
Ranch Camp is where it starts - your own horse, your own responsibility, a week of riding, grooming, and barn work that teaches Campers what it means to care for something bigger than themselves. For campers who want to go further, Advanced Ranch is there when they're ready.
Rustic Adventure Camps
Ages 11 to 17
For Campers who want the real thing. Ranger Camp covers outdoor skills including tent camping, campfire cooking, and a canoe overnight. Niobrara Canoe Camp goes further, with a three-night canoe excursion near Valentine, Nebraska.
There is a lot competing for your kid’s summer.
Screens, schedules, the path of least resistance. Camp is something different. At Camp Kitaki, every activity is designed with intention. Archery teaches patience. Cabin life builds community. Gaga teaches honesty. It is all fun, and it all adds up. Campers leave with new friends, new confidence, and memories that last.
For Parents
New to camp? You're in good company.
Most campers arrive without knowing a single person. That is not a problem. It is kind of the point. Everything at Camp Kitaki is designed to help Campers make friends, try something new, and come home a little more themselves.
If you have questions about homesickness, medications, what they will eat, or what a typical day looks like, we have answered them all.
Camp is for every camper
YMCA Camp Kitaki welcomes campers of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities. Participation is open to all. Financial assistance is available for families who need it.
